All the City Centre Gallery photographs on this site are presently hosted by
flickr which is one of the world's largest photograph gallery sites.
The photographs seen here, which you are at liberty to browse through without having to register with flickr beforehand, are uploaded by Westside contributors as and when. The pictures have been uploaded into areas, (known by flickr as 'collections' and 'sets'); the sets that relate to the city centre are as follows:
- City Centre Culture: for pictures of Birmingham's people, city workers, civic events, visitors to the city, etc
- City Centre Buildings: for photographs of city centre residential buildings, houses, flats, civic buildings, shopping centres etc
- City Centre Sunsets: of local sunsets taken from the Westside district, with a few sunrises too!
You can also browse, without registration, the following city centre public galleries below (known by flickr as public 'group' pools). With public groups you can add your own pictures to the following pools simply by registering with
flickr and then publishing the picture. All pictures are moderated and must comply with the rules issued by
flickr (such as: should be regarded as in good taste, be legal, be original, your own property (ie taken by you). Choose one of the following public groups:
